R.S. MONITOR: MEASURE YOUR PERFORMANCE
Thanks to its remarkable success with Mégane R.S ., the option R.S. Monitor is now available on Clio R.S. and soon on Twingo R.S. This equipment generates such a passion with our customers that it gave us the idea to make a film (or at least a short demonstration video) about it.
Let’s remind you that R.S. Monitor enables to automatically record your performance on 0 to 60mph, to record your lap time on track as well as to measure all strengths exercised on the vehicle whilst on track, without forgetting the access to the telemetric data (with possible parameter setting according to the vehicle). Knowing that all this is very intuitive to use, from the car radio display of the car, this equipment – which is both powerful but accessible- is already chosen by 40 % of our Mégane R.S. customers.
Renault is by the way the only car manufacturer to propose such a system on three of its Renault Sport models. This know-how reflects the philosophy with which we want to feed the passion for motor sport of the larger number of enthusiasts. Therefore if your Renault Sport is not fitted with the R.S. Monitor (or "worst" if you drive a sportscar from another brand), you still have a chance to be temporarily forgiven (and a little consoled). You need to go and download the R.S Monitor application as developed on iPhone to celebrate the real equipment success. All is happening here. For all of us, we have nice video images on tap. For your friends, the video is here on You Tube.
FULL TANK OF SENSATION FOR YEAR 2011
2010 is about to end. It means that Renault Sport is in the starting block to start New Year 2011 and ready to propose you a program that will be very attractive. Be sure that in terms of product, services, sports events and competition, Renault Sport is preparing loads of surprises for you in 2011.
To whet your appetite – and as far as “surprises” were mentioned - let’s make a fast rewind over
the year 2010. Actually, almost one year ago, you were more than one thousand to compete in the Renault Sport lottery. We had organised such a game for all our Renault Sport customers whilst we sent our greetings card and gave an overview of our New Year activities. The top award was a Renault Formula single-seater driving tuition that could be won by drawing lots.

POSTCARDS FROM THE WORLD
The passion for Renault Sport seems to be worldwide contagious. It is at least what might suggest several shows and animations having recently taken place almost everywhere on the planet. This month, we have selected for you some special “Renault Sport postcards” from South Africa, Malaysia, Japan and Australia … Enjoy

South Africa
A full stock Mégane R.S. entering the famous hill climb of Knysna (in October 22-24th, 2010): it is the audacious initiative chosen by Renault South Africa to celebrate the launch of Mégane R.S. in the country. By achieving a remarkable 14th place at the scratch, Mégane R.S. smashes an impressive performance. Especially when you consider the list of the super cars which it managed to outstrip and the attendees weapons which included performance racing cars. This full stock Mégane R.S. did better than restoring a little of the French honour lost in the place made sadly famous by the French world cup soccer team. Bravo.

Malaysia

It is on the circuit of Sepang, on October 15th, 2010, that the launch of Mégane R.S. took place for the Malaysia in the presence of the press and of fascinated customers. The first eight customers who had signed for Mégane R.S. will not forget this exceptional day, because they could hand the keys of their new model for the first time. Another performance is that Mégane R.S. officially achieved the exceptional laptime of 2:43.02 in the hands of Denis Lian (ex driver of the A1 Team Singapore). A laptime which is more than respectable for a full stock car on a demanding F1 track.

Japan
In Japan also, Renault Sport is alive and offers a complete range, a specialist dealers network and events for customers.
On October 23rd, Renault Japan organised the Mégane R.S reveal on the Mount Fuji track at the " 2010 Historic Automobile Festival “, in front of 15 000 spectators, 240 proud owners and Renault enthusiasts owning various Renault Sport models including A110 berlinettes and spiders but also an impressive number of Renault Kangoo (which is a cult vehicle in Japan.). Would a Renault Sport Kangoo appear in the range, it would probably be sold in Japan first. On October 24th, the biggest Renault Sport Specialist dealer in Japan inauguration took place in Nagoya, bringing the number of dealers specialists to fifteen representatives there. In Japan Clio is called Lutecia (the brand name Clio actually belonging to Honda in Japan!). It seems that it doesn't matter so much as the first thirty Lutécia Gordini R.S. was sold by the specialists' network in about fifteen minutes! It is no coincidence if Japan is, in 2010 the third market in the world for Clio R.S. (oups…. “Lutecia R.S.”) behind France and United Kingdom.

Let’s stay in Australia and now sit at the side of the driver Jim Richard at the wheel of Mégane Trophy if you please. Take time to put your helmet and secure tight in the bucket because there might be some “last moment" braking involved there. Ready? Then let’s go for two very fast track laps with inboard camera.
