What are you waiting for? At Renault Sport we have put all our know-how and reputation into this program. And we are waiting for you to join us!
We will be pleased to answer all your questions. By the way, here are some of the “most frequently asked questions” you might have in mind:
Q: "Am I going to wear out or damage my car?”
A: First of all, Renault Sport vehicles are genuinely competent on a track thanks to their performance braking and adapted chassis and suspensions. Most importantly, the aim is not about competition or lap record performance here. The objective is to allow each of our customers to enjoy and take advantage of the driving capabilities of their car, in a safe and convivial way. At the end, we will share a few tips and teach you a few skills to master driving techniques. That will help you save your brakes and your tyres.
Q: "What about safety? "
A: Safety is paramount. It is cautiously ensured by the local circuit teams as well as by our carefully selected instructors, not to mention Renault Sport Technologies staff itself. To put everyone at ease, we also arrange groups according to the attendees’ skills and levels (beginner, confirmed, master). Of course, a “zero risk on track” committment cannot be maintained. But at least you will be reassured to know that no accident has happened and spoilt the pleasure of our 1300 attendees during the whole Renault Sport Enthusiast Days’ season in 2008.
Q: " What about insurance ? "
A: Of course, you need to warn your insurance company that you intend to drive on a track. Then, you first need to check that your insurance coverage does include this possibility otherwise you do need an extension to your policy. If you need support in this area, we can suggest a few insurance companies who might be able to help you.
Q: "What’s the cost of joining Renault Sport Enthusiast Days ?"
A: We have prices starting from 30 € for a “Clio Cup First Experience” session to 550 € for a “driving course on a single-seater competition car. The Track Day sessions vary from 80 € to 215 €. Depending on your wishes and your budget, we have a wide choice of offers for you.
Q: " Is it possible to attend Renault Sport Enthusiast Days even if I have no RenaultSports car? "
A: Yes, it is possible! We have offers which are available for you as well. For instance, we organise Driving Skills with an instructor in a Megane R26. R. We have planned visits of the Renault Alpine plant in Dieppe. That will enable you to discover the Renault Sports models and their factory.
