You will love the New Renaultsport Monitor. It is a unique electronic system, providing you with key driving data, via sensors located around the car. The system is easy to access via the radio control lever (located behind the steering wheel). You can then tune and check the settings you want which are displayed on the central radio screen.
Key information provided by the Renaultsport Monitor:
- Status of the Engine’s main components: turbo pressure, oil temperature, brake pressure
- Instant driving performance measurements: torque, power
- "GG” Diagram“: measuring and displaying lateral and longitudinal acceleration
- Chronometer: including lap time recording
- Best performances on 400 m standing still acceleration as well as 0-60mph can also be automatically recorded. The Renaultsport Monitor is a unique, powerful and practical driving support for any driver and not available on any other hot-hatch. The key benefit is that it provides real-time information feedback.
Having been developed from F1 technology, this type of equipment was previously only available on a few, very expensive sport models. However, there is even better news: it will be very affordable (as it is reasonably priced at £300). Further positive news is that the Renaultsport Monitor gives you the opportunity to customise your accelerator tuning based around your requirements.
There are five different modes to cater for different driving conditions, which are available as soon as the "Sport" mode is switched on. You can choose from: Linear, Normal, Snow, Sport and Extreme modes in order to balance your acceleration to your mood and needs.
We thought it was a good idea to highlight the Clio V6 Passion club activities. As the name suggests, this club brings all the Clio V6 (phase 1 and phase 2) enthusiasts together. There are 70 registered members and this club keeps them busy on the track by organising events such as track sessions and by sharing information on the internet via its comprehensive website and forum: www.ClioV6Passion.fr.
The last well-organised club track day more than lived up to its high expectations.
It was at the legendary Monthlery racing track that the Clio V6 Passion club organised its track meeting on Sunday 25th October 2009, with 220 participants and 65 vehicles.
A fantastic turnout for what was an exhilarating day on the track. Renaultsport owners also had the opportunity to meet A. Breun (the Clio V6 designer), D. Chevrier (famous ex Renault F1 Team Engineer), L. Simon (Clio Cup 2004 Champion) and J. Louis Lopez (Renaultsport Sales Executive).
Although the Clio V6 was the most abundant, there were numerous other Renaultsport models and you could enjoy watching a large selection of current and past Renaultsport models on the track (such as the Twingo or Spider). The Monthléry racing track is certainly the ideal testing ground to display the driving ability of the Renaultsport models range (as well as testing the driver’s own skills).
However, the idea was not to break records. It was more about enjoying the simple pleasure of attending an enthusiasts meeting and sharing our mutual passion. A memorable highlight was a group of fifteen ill children who were also invited for the day and offered the unforgettable experience of riding in the passenger seat for a few laps on the track.
Renaultsport Technologies had the Cup version of the new Megane Renaultsport on display fitted with the very impressive 19’’ optional alloy wheels (a first on a French car).
It did not fail to impress shown by the attending enthusiasts’ very positive first impressions of this brand new car! The unanimous opinion was that the car is even more beautiful in the flesh than in pictures; so prepare yourselves for when it really arrives on the track … For more information about the new Megane Renaultsport (price lists, equipment, specifications…) logon to: www.renault.fr
