By developing our R.S., Gordini and GT range with the addition of the GT Line versions which is available on the various bodies of Mégane, Renault Sport is now offering a very complete and very attractive choice of vehicles able to satisfy all needs and desires around sportsmanship.
The Renault Sport range is built so that every customer can very simply identify the car which is the most convenient for their needs.
The R.S. badge means the guarantee of an intense driving pleasure based on the efficiency of the engine, chassis and brakes. This is best suited for demanding sport drivers looking for very sharp and uncompromising performance.
Gordini adds to those genuine sports gems, a new refined touch. This touch is very much based on the French interpretation of luxury which also means originality and exclusivity. This is “sport”, but with extra attention paid to details, design and comfort.
New Mégane GT is the newcomer in the Renault sports car range. It shows strong features from both the inside and the outside which give no doubt about its sporting pedigree. Mégane GT relies on two exclusive and very powerful engines (dCi 160ch and 2.0 TCe 180ch). Therefore, Megane GT is the ideal choice for customers who want a powerful and brilliant vehicle, which will add miles up in a dynamic, stylish and comfortable way.
Being both affordable and less exclusive, the GT Line versions do more than look the part when you want to go for sport. First of all, these versions propose a complete sport package, whatever your favorite body type is (saloon, coupé, estate and coupé-cabriolet). With true sports features and equipment, an interior and exterior design you cannot miss, the GT Line versions generate a rewarding driving atmosphere, which is also enhanced by the sporty tuning of their chassis. Actually, on the basis of the Dynamic trim level of Mégane,
the GT Line versions offer a sport chassis as developed on Mégane Coupé, associated with ecological and economic engines such as the dCi 110 FAP (114 g of CO2 / km). Note that they are available with the new automatic double clutch EDC (Efficient Dual Clutch) transmission and with the turbo compressed petrol engine TCe 130. Now that you know better how to identify Renault hot hatches, you should be able to recognise the one to match your own taste. That leaves a question: what are you waiting for to book a test drive at your Renault dealership?
It is a unanimous opinion, that there is nothing better than a dynamic test drive for the Renault Sport cars to reveal their surprisingly high potential. The numerous press awards and victories gained by our models, during various test drive comparisons, may sound like convincing clues for the true connoisseurs. But would it not be a good idea for you to build your own opinion via a test drive?
To test the punch of our engines, the rigour of our chassis and the excellence of the braking system of our cars, we strongly advise you to go and visit the Renault network, and particularly the Renault Sport specialists dealers. There, you will find professional staff
who will be glad to organise a road test drive for you (perhaps even on track, provided these special opportunities exist). By implementing specialist dealers and sub dealers, in France (and gradually outside the hexagon), Renault Sport Technologies want to offer the best choice and the most competent service for customers in search of a sports car. No surprise there if you feel this passion from your very first contact with the brand and from your own test drive experience. The so called “Renault Sport Experience” will give you the opportunity to attend various types of events and in particular track days with your own vehicle.
Some weeks ago, we organised a special day for representatives of our Renault Sport web enthusiasts. Actually, we took the initiative of gathering some of our fans from the main Renault Sport forums and clubs to let them test drive our range on various roads, and meet driving instructors and representatives of Renault Sport Technologies at the same time.
All attendees were able to discover or to rediscover the whole R.S., Gordini and GT. Range. Among the novelties, everyone also had the opportunity to drive the new Wind. Renault Sport have designed, both its chassis and its roof mechanism.
We also invited representatives of other brands forums. It meant we took on board owners and enthusiasts from competitors sport models.
Twingo Renault Sport owners will be happy to learn that a new exhaust pipe is now available for them in the accessories range.
