With more than 20 000 models sold worldwide, Renault Mégane Renault Sport has demonstrated its effectiveness and faultless versatility on road and track. That’s why we are all a bit sad to think that the last current Mégane Renault Sport (code name X84) is leaving the showroom. With its exceptionnal chassis : front axle with independent struts, powerful braking and high output 2 litre turbo engine, Megane Renault Sport has always offered an outstanding effectiveness without sacrificing excellent comfort and user friendliness.
It is a tribute to the five years of continuous improvements throughout a very full career. New equipment (such as the limited slip differential) made it quicker on track; others (such as the sunroof or the leather seats) made it even more desirable for everyday journeys. In fact, all the technical evolutions from which it benefited allowed Megane Renault Sport to keep the lead in front of all the other hot hatches on the market. It even managed to convert some of the most extremely “sport minded” among all of you to diesel fuel. That seemed unthinkable to some before they  actually had a chance to test drive it (and change their mind…) Lastly, Mégane Renault Sport will also be remembered for the performance of having twice been elected as the “Hot hatch of the Year” during the past two years; most recently in its ultimate collector version :  Megane R26.R.
